Psych Recovery, Inc. offers psychological testing with specialization in children, adolescents, adults, and seniors seeking testing regarding psychological needs (psychological diagnosis, deficits, and traits).
Psychological testing can be used to aid the client with diagnostic impressions and treatment recommendations that can be provided to a wide variety of collaterals including therapists, physicians and academic settings.

Psych Recovery's providers use many instruments in the psychological testing assessment. Your provider will determine the appropriate clinical tests needed for assessment. Psych Recovery's psychological testing providers include:

Katherine Quie, Ph.D., LP
Katherine Quie is a licensed psychologist specializing in pediatric neuropsychology. She received her
Ph.D. in 2002 from the Seattle Pacific University and completed her postdoctoral specialization in
pediatric neuropsychology through Children's Hospital in Seattle, Washington. Prior to joining Psych
Recovery, she worked as a neuropsychologist at Fraser Child and Family Center (FCFC) in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. She has also worked in the Autism Department at FCFC and specializes in the assessment and
treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Attention Deficit/ Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
and Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD's). In addition to working at Psych Recovery, she is also
on staff at the University of Minnesota, Medical Center, Fairview and at Abbott Northwestern Hospital
and acts as a consultant in the area of pediatric neuropsychology.
Dr. Quie's patient population consists of referrals primarily from neurology and psychiatry. She works with patients ranging in age from preschoolers to young adults of college age. She specializes in diagnostic neuropsychological assessment directed at clarifying cognitive and emotional-behavioral functioning for the purposes of refining treatment and educational planning.
Thomas Richardson, MA, LP, LSP
Tom Richardson is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed School Psychologist. He trained at the University
of Minnesota Educational Psychology Department where he assisted in research related to the early
development of children prenatally exposed to chemicals. Prior to working at Psychiatric Recovery,
he conducted therapeutic groups for preschool aged children at Fraser Child and Family Center. He has
extensive assessment experience with both children and adults. He continues to work closely with public
schools to complete special education assessments for students in elementary school through transition age.
He also works at Saint Thomas Academy, a college preparatory middle and high school where he provides
consultation to their counseling department and completes learning disability, ADHD, and mental health
assessments. His work with school and transition age students provides him with knowledge to help parents
understand and prepare for students who may need a 504 Plan or an Individual Education Plan. He also currently
works with the Minnesota Division of Rehabilitation Services to complete learning and mental health evaluations
to plan for the vocational needs of adults with disabilities.
Tom has a focus on assessments for learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, mental health, and personality disorders. He works with individuals from elementary age through adult. His evaluations provide information for accommodations that may be needed in educational and employment settings. They also provide information to help guide treatment and intervention for mental health issues.
Jacqueline Kaplan, Psy. D., LP
Jacqueline Kaplan is a licensed psychologist who provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents (ages 2 through 18). These evaluations may help with differential diagnosis and treatment planning. Throughout the testing process, Dr. Kaplan may collaborate with parents, teachers, physicians, therapists, and other professionals in order to gather background information and provide appropriate treatment recommendations. Dr. Kaplan is able to assess for ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, learning disabilities, developmental disabilities, personality disorders, emotional and behavioral disorders, mood disorders, and/or other areas of concern.
Karie McCabe, Psy. D., LP
Karie McCabe is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in the assessment and treatment of children and adolescents. Prior to working at Psych Recovery, Dr. McCabe worked at Fraser Child and Family Center doing assessments and therapy for children, adolescents, and their families. Dr. McCabe has experience with the assessment of children and adolescents with learning disorders, developmental delays, ADHD and other disruptive behavior disorders, autism spectrum disorders, anxiety, and depression.
