Jennifer Jendro, MSW, LICSW
Jenny received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Psychology and her Masters Degree in
Social Work from the University of Minnesota, and is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social
Worker.
Jenny's experience includes working with children, youth, families and adults. Jenny has
worked with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, providing individual therapy
in a residential treatment program. She has also conducted HIV/STD prevention education to
LGBTQ youth and also street outreach/resources to youth experiencing homelessness. She has
worked with families and children both in home and in day treatment/therapeutic school
settings, providing therapy, support and resources.
Clinical areas of interest and experience include: depression, bipolar disorder, borderline
personality disorder, PTSD, trauma, dissociation, disordered eating and substance abuse. Her
treatment modalities include: cognitive behavioral therapy, including dialectical behavior
therapy, motivational interviewing and harm reduction. She is trained in Eye Movement
Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). She believes a client centered, compassionate
approach is an integral part of the therapy process.
She has provided training on Illness Management and Recovery (IMR) and conducted groups on
IMR and Integrated Dual Disorder Treatment. She teaches DBT skills training classes and
completed intensive DBT training in 2006.
