John Bursch, MS, LICSW
John has 20 years experience working in, and assisting clients in the mental health field. His vast experience
includes providing individual and group psychotherapy (with adults and teenagers in day treatment, mental
health centers, chemical dependency treatment centers, and in inpatient state hospital settings). John also
has offered education in Psychology for colleges, as well as education on chemical dependency for social
service programs and colleagues. His experience also includes acute crisis intervention, assessment, and
intervention. John served as the Chairperson of the Pre Petition Commitment Screening Committee.
John conducts therapy with individuals, with couples as well as provides group therapy. The issues range from
general emotional and behavior difficulties to people with serious and persistent mental illness. His primary
caseload also includes therapy with people who are chemically dependent; suffer from a serious and persistent
mental illness, major depression, and anxiety.
