Kristie McDonald, LMFT, LADC
Kristie McDonald is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Kristie
obtained her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Minnesota in English Literature and Social Psychology and
a certificate in Addiction Studies from the University of Minnesota. She then obtained her Master's Degree in
Marriage and Family Therapy from St Mary's University in Minneapolis.
Kristie has experience providing family therapy, in-home therapy, individual therapy, and group therapy to
adolescents and adults with clinical disorders ranging from chemical dependency to severe and persistent
mental illness. Kristie also has been intensively trained in Dialectic Behavior Therapy by Behavior Tech,
Kristie's areas of clinical interest include co-occurring disorders, women-specific issues, adolescent
disorders, family systems issues, and providing couples therapy. Clinical disorders in which Kristie
has special interest include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, ADHD, grief
and loss issues, trauma, and family of origin issues.
