Sarah Bixler, MA, LADC
Sarah Bixler MA, LADC is planning to take the NCMHCE examination in the
coming months for LPCC licensure. She received her Bachelor's of Science
in Allied Health – Addiction Studies from the University of South Dakota.
She also completed her Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at the
University of South Dakota, with emphasis in Addiction Medicine, Clinical
Psychology, Educational Psychology, Counseling and Guidance, Sociology,
and Criminal Justice.
Sarah's practice focuses on the mental health of adults, specifically with
adjustment, depression, anxiety, grief, hoarding, gender dysphoria, body
dysmorphia, co-occurring addiction/mental health, and personality disorders.
Although Sarah uses many therapeutic treatment modalities in her practice,
she has been extensively trained in both therapeutic approaches of CBT
(cognitive behavior therapy) and REBT (rational emotive behavior therapy).
Sarah has worked in the addiction and mental health fields for over 20 years,
both as a clinician and as a program administrator. She enjoys working with
clients who have felt marginalized, discriminated, or otherwise ignored,
including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and individuals involved in the criminal justice system.
