I have a broad range of psych experience with over 25+ years in mental health
and work with individuals thru the life span. I retired from HCMC in 2012 having
worked in adult inpatient psychiatry, outpatient child & adolescent psychiatry as
well as in the Acute Psychiatric services-the psychiatric emergency room. Particular
areas of interest include mood disorders, psychoses and PTSD and Trauma with a focus
on guided imagery to treat medication resistant nightmares. Another approach I have
also been exploring is bibliotherapy.
I am ever curious and a perennial student (or so it would seem) and just completed
my Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of MN.
