Lauren Andersen, MSW, LGSW

Lauren Andersen is a Licensed Graduate Social Worker. She received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and her Master of Social Work from the University of St. Thomas. Lauren has experience working with adults aged 18 and older as an Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS) worker. She also has experience working with college-aged students and individuals in an inpatient unit, ages 5-35. She offers individual therapy to clients age 14 and above.

Lauren believes that trust and a collaborative approach are needed for therapy to occur. When working together, she and the client will create a safe space and work towards an agreed-upon goal. She often utilizes Systems theory, Cognitive-Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, and Exposure and Response Prevention depending on her clients' needs. Her clinical areas of interest include, but are not limited to: young adults, depression, anxiety, self-esteem and confidence, OCD, and those dealing with life transitions/changes.
